Babs Dubois
Estimating risks and anticipating them avoids conflicts. That saves a lot of time, money and, above all, negative energy. This is of major importance for companies and sports organisations, but also for private individuals, in order to progress.
Babs Dubois is the employment law specialist at LOYR. Reorganisations, a new work structure, or an adjusted vision almost always have consequences for the employer, but also for the employees within an organisation. Employment contracts and conditions must, of course, be legally correct and comply with the statutory frameworks. However, it is just as important that these are suitable for the organisation you have in mind. One thing that is typical for the approach adopted by LOYR is that organisations not only get in touch with them when legal problems have actually arisen, but also and particularly in order to prevent problems at an early stage.
Babs advises and litigates on matters such as individual and collective dismissals, terms and conditions of employment, incapacity for work, co-determination and transfers of business ownership. She is also specialised in privacy in the workplace and, together with Zabih Etemadi, makes up the sports law team at LOYR.
Her years of experience in employment law, litigation and solving problems mean that Babs is of huge value to her clients. She has the gift of sensing precisely what kind of culture an organisation has and is frequently asked to function as a sounding board in relation to employment law and privacy issues. Babs makes sure the job matrix is properly structured, that there are clear terms and conditions of employment, an internal privacy policy and explicit benchmarks for functioning, development and performance. This ensures a pleasant working environment. Experience has taught us that should anything then go wrong, parting company is easier for all parties to accept.
Babs has registered employment law in the legal register of the Dutch Bar Association. On the basis of this registration, Babs must obtain ten permanent education points in every main registered jurisdiction every year in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
